What a pleasure to
teach Year 1 while Mr Mills is having a well earned break!
The children,
although young, know the daily routines so well, it is easy to forget how young
they are. We have almost completed the science unit “Look Around You” and I
have found the children most knowledgeable and observant. Reading groups have
continued, with all children knowing what to do and reading very well. Thank
you to the parents who pop in to help. In maths, the children have been
working on different strategies to add and subtract as well as interpret and
make graphs. PE has been interesting – skipping. Guess what Mrs Zoneff? …..
Year 1 can skip!
I am enjoying the
children’s company and I wish them a happy and safe holiday.
