Term 1 Class News

Week 4

Welcome back to school. All the children have settled in very well and their class work and manners are a delight.  A special welcome to our new class member, Jack G.

Homework has started with maths, tables and a 200 word sheet. Could you please ensure that your child does this each week? The class information letter will be going home this week. The children are busy learning about communities and doing Narrative writing.

If you have any concerns please contact me at school.

Term 2 Class News

Week 9

The children have been busy learning about The Early European Settlement of Australia and The Solar System.   In writing, all the children have been doing some excellent Information Reports and Recounts.  Maths problem solving groups are going very well each Tuesday.  Thank you for all the delicious cakes for cake day and to all the parents for your help.  Most children are bringing their homework in each week but parents could you please check on this matter.

Looking forward to seeing you all at the interviews.                   Ron Floyd

Week 6

It is now only two weeks till we go to the Great Aussie Bush Camp.  Please return all the forms to school as I have to send this information off to the camp.   All outstanding money needs to be paid by this Friday (4th September).  If you are unsure how much you owe please contact the school.

Good luck to our class representatives in the Stage 2 Spelling Bee; Jayden, Luke, Jack and James.

The children are busy learning about Places – Then, Now and Future in HSIE and Writing Expositions (arguments).  Please remind and check that your child is completing and bringing back their homework.                                                                                                               Ron Floyd

Term 4 Class News

Week 4

Year 4 children are working hard in all areas and particularly their work on different beliefs and celebrations around the world.   Mrs Mills is working with the children again this week during the literacy session.  The children are certainly enjoying having Mrs Mills with them.

As the term winds down, the children have been reminded that behaviour and work habits must still be of a high standard.  This includes homework so parents please check that it is being done and brought to school.

All the children are doing a great job as Peer Pals for next year’s Kinder children.  Keep up the goodwork.                                                                                                                             Ron Floyd
